Science
Science stimulates and excites pupils’ curiosity about phenomena and events in the world around them. It also satisfies their curiosity with knowledge. Because science links direct practical experience with ideas, it can engage learners at many levels. Through science, pupils learn to raise questions and discuss science-based issues which may affect their own lives and the world in which they live.
At Hallgate, we believe that the best way for our children to develop as scientists is for them to take part in as much practical work as possible. We encourage our children to question what they have observed and design their own investigations to provide them with answers. We want our children to see themselves as the scientists of the future.
