Online Safety Information for Parents
Our pupils are growing up in a world where technology and apps are constantly changing. While we believe technology is a great part of modern life, we must also be aware of the risks that are associated with it.
At Hallgate Primary School, we teach our children using ProjectEVOLVE, a digital literacy toolkit that supports the online development of children and young people. The toolkit includes progression across all strands from Early Years to Year 6 covering:
-
Self-image and identity
-
Online Relationships
-
Online Bullying
-
Health Wellbeing & Lifestyle
-
Privacy & Security
-
Copyright and Ownership
-
Managing Online Information.
As parents and carers it can be difficult to keep up with the new technology and apps available to our children. We know that much of our children’s internet use happens at home, outside of the school’s safety filters.
Below you'll find a list of helpful websites, advice, and resources to guide you in keeping your child safe online. At the bottom of the page, we’ve also included resources your child can use to learn more about online safety.
